ASTRO DISPLAY UNIT FOR THE OBSERVATORY
Banish hard to read digits and create a professional environment in your own observatory with the AWR Astro Display Unit. Compact and stylish, this clever little box provides large observatory style illuminated readouts from AWR, MEADE, VIXEN (and many other) drive systems fitted with a computer port, perfect for group observing and educational purposes. Choose to display any of seven parameters (RA, DEC, ALT, AZ, HA, LST, UT.) by operation of the function buttons. Specifically designed to make life easier in the dark, it is transparent to serial data flow from a connected computer so the telescope can still be controlled from Planetarium Programmes. For more professional applications, this product can be fitted to Heidenhain digital encoder units, which can be retrofitted to any venerable telescope. The Equatorial Group telescopes at Herstmonceux have been kitted out with these encoders. Up to FIVE units can be connected together. Features: Readouts for LX200 Protocol based Telescope Drives. For these units to work your telescope drive control MUST have a computer port and operate the correct LX200 protocol. Suitable equipment are AWR Intelligent Drive System, Meade LX200 type, FS2 and Vixen SkySensor 2000 amongst others. Only the AWR equipment has HA available.
