INTELLIGENT DRIVE SYSTEMS A system comprising an Intelligent Handset, a Drive Box and stepper motors can now be provided to suit any telescope (retrofit or new). There are versions to drive motors in MICROSTEP mode or for standard steppers like the VIXEN motors fitted to the SuperPolaris mounts. Super slew speed is now available driving, for example, VIXEN motors in excess of 1 degree per second. The only requirement is the telescope must be fitted with slow motions on both axes. System prices from £650.00.

The MICROSTEP drive box offers direct connection of a motor to the slow motion axis without a gearbox. The step sizes are sub arc second and the rotation is super smooth with 12800 steps per revolution.
The INTELLIGENT HANDSET with coordinate readout and GOTO is now available with planetarium connection as standard. The PC programme 'THE SKY' or 'SKYMAP PRO' can control the telescope or can follow where the telescope is moving. Further information is at

SIDEREAL CLOCKS A quantity of special clocks with dual displays are currently being built for the Isaac Newton Telescope Group. These will be available for purchase as model number SC2000. The standard observatory clock SC110 with dual time stores and a switchable display is still available from £99.00.

ORDINARY TELESCOPE DRIVES On a budget our standard drive systems are still the best and are available to drive Synchronous (240V or 110V) or Stepper motors. All types of options, configurations and motors can be supplied. The only requirement is that the telescope must be fitted with at least a slow motion on the RA drive.
